Which bib to use for weaning?
You'll need to use a perfectly waterproof and covering bib to start weaning. This step simply consists of familiarizing baby with new flavors and textures (think of our silicone meal kits perfect for weaning). We start with vegetable purees for lunch then compotes for snack, the bib will then help keep baby as clean as possible. You can also practice BLW to give baby more freedom in discovering food. Baby's first puree is one of the most beautiful memories for parents but also the beginning of many laundry loads.
The perfect bibs for first teeth.

The silicone bib is ideal from 6 months, when baby starts weaning. This type of bib is more rigid and designed to retain food thanks to its catching pocket. It is less suitable for infants.
How to wash a fabric bib?
A fabric bib can be machine washed at 30 or 40 °C, depending on the textile. It is advised to:

How many bibs for a baby?
From birth to 4 months, your baby will be exclusively fed breast milk or formula. To protect their first outfits, opt for a set of bibs made of absorbent, natural, and soft terry cloth that will respect their delicate skin. You can easily find sets of 5 or 7 bibs to ensure a perfect rotation for each feeding. One set will be sufficient if you do laundry every two days, otherwise plan for two sets to be more at ease.
Between 4 and 6 months, your infant will taste the first vegetable purees and fruit compotes. To prevent stains on your little one's clothes, provide waterproof bibs made of lined terry cloth. Highly absorbent and water-resistant, your child will stay clean throughout the meal. Some have snap closures, others have velcro, depending on your preference. For older babies, opt for the large bib from 12 months when baby starts eating alone. To limit the number of bib purchases and laundry loads, choose silicone bibs which are very practical to clean and use early on. Very trendy, Trois Kilos Sept offers them in mixed and pastel colors. Also find the long-sleeved bib for manual activities or more active meals.
