Baby sleep bag

The baby sleeping bag, also known as a sleep sack, is one of the essentials for a young child's sleep. It keeps baby well covered during the night without using a loose blanket, while following their movements. To choose the right one, there are three things to look at: the child's age, the season and the room temperature.

Whether you're looking for a newborn sleeping bag, a 0-3 month sleeping bag or a more versatile model for a baby who moves around more, our collection brings together designs suited to every everyday need. You'll also find summer sleeping bags, winter sleeping bags, 2.5 TOG sleeping bags for cooler nights, as well as footed sleep sacks for more active babies.

The goal isn't just to choose a pretty design: above all, it's about choosing a sleeping bag suited to the temperature to help baby sleep comfortably. To find what you need quickly, you can also browse our selections by age, by season and by warmth level.

The reverse-zip sleeping bag is so practical. Not only do you avoid the risk of pinching your baby when zipping up, but you also ensure that the zip pull won't irritate their little neck during sleep.

How to choose the right sleeping bag for your baby?

A sleeping bag is first chosen according to the room temperature. The cooler the room, the higher the TOG rating should be. Then, you need to choose the right size: a newborn sleeping bag does not meet the same needs as a 0-3 months sleeping bag or a footed sleeping bag for a child who is already walking.

Which TOG should I choose for a sleeping bag?

A light TOG is suitable for warm nights. A mid-range TOG is suitable for the majority of temperate nights. A higher TOG is suitable for cooler rooms.

For winter, we offer sleeping bag models in flannel or velvet, and some of our winter footed sleeping bags even feature long sleeves. Choose a TOG 2.5 sleeping bag for cool nights. For mid-season, we recommend 100% cotton footed sleeping bags, sleeveless, with slightly lighter padding than a winter sleeping bag. And finally, for the summer season, you will be spoiled for choice between our ultra-lightweight and absorbent terry cloth summer sleeping bags and our cotton muslin models, gentle and breathable, respectful of babies' delicate skin. (See our summer sleeping bags for warm nights). Along the same lines, you should choose your sleeping bag according to the room in which your baby will sleep. To help you with this, you can refer to the TOG rating indicated on most of our sleeping bag models. After checking the temperature of the room where your child sleeps (we recommend taking several readings throughout the day, in order to account for possible temperature variations that may occur in the same room between daytime and nighttime, and thus obtain a range as close as possible to the temperature actually felt by your child). Discover our winter sleeping bags to keep your baby nice and warm.

Which sleeping bag should I choose for a newborn?

Choose a newborn or 0-3 months sleeping bag, well fitted to your baby's shape, to ensure comfort and safety.

What is the difference between a sleeping bag and a footed sleeping bag?

The footed sleeping bag allows greater mobility for a bigger or more active baby, while maintaining the warmth logic of a classic sleeping bag.

Can a sleeping bag be used in summer?

Yes, it is possible to let your baby sleep in a sleeping bag in summer, provided you choose a lightweight model and adapt the clothing worn underneath. To keep your baby protected in their cot during summer, we recommend fitting the cot or cradle with a suitable mosquito net.

To create a cozy nest for your little one, nothing beats a baby cot bumper to define their sleeping space, while adding an extra touch of comfort. In addition to its decorative appeal, it protects your baby from drafts or creates a warm cocoon, depending on the model you choose.

Complete the sleeping bag with a comfortable baby pajama and a wrap-style front-opening bodysuit. The soft velvet baby pajama will keep your child nice and warm while allowing good regulation of body temperature. For even more convenience, opt for a wrap-style front-opening bodysuit, easy to put on and ideal for avoiding too much handling of your baby, especially in the first few months.
